‘Amsterdam - Hoofddorp’ | NL | research | why densify ?

The city of Amsterdam is urgently needing new housing development as it is the fastest developing Dutch urban region. In research for possible densification in the inner city, urdban came up with a new developing strategy. Instead of developing on highly expensive locations, urdban focused on the suburban grounds (borough of Hoofddorp) to develop. Transforming out of use office- and industrial areas into new residential developments. Using existing public transport to make a sustainable growth to the city of Amsterdam and keeping investments relative low. More results will follow...
